XplusSecurity⁴³³⁶ is a PC based image enhancement and processing system with extensive archiving possibilities especially developed for police and military missions.

The system can be operated in less than 3 minutes right from the backpack.
The working steps are quite easy. The flat panel detector is located behind the object. The mobile X-ray tube (e.g. Golden XR150, XR200 or XRS-3 or for example ICM) is placed as normal in front of the object. The X-ray generator and the flat panel detector are connected to the control panel (notebook). The operator takes his control panel and leaves the danger zone (~ 20 to 1.500 m WLAN / ~ 130 m cable). The whole operation and image analysis is done with the control panel. The system is operated via wireless connection (optional wire/fibre glass). Irrespective of the mains, the system is ready for operation for approx. 5 hours thanks to the mobile battery supply. The batteries are incorporated in the backpack.

XplusSecurity⁴³³⁶is an X-ray scanning system
based on the flat panel detector technology. Flat panel detectors are X-ray sensitive image taking components. In contrast to X-ray films or CR plates these flat panel detectors are able
to display a digital image directly during X-ray radiation.
The advantage is the extremely short latency (only a few seconds) until an image is shown
on the screen of the system.

The flat panel detector system, for example, transmits the X-ray image via radio data transmission from
the remote controlled manipulator to the control desk. The transmission of the X-ray image only takes a
few moments and the perceptibility of details is remarkable.

Incorporated in a remote controlled manipulator
the flat panel detector system is connected via interface to the data channel of the control desk. Once the X-ray tube has been started at the operator console, the high resolution image of 43 cm x 36 cm is quickly transmitted to the screen of the control desk without neglecting the high perceptibility of details. At the control desk all standard functions of X-ray image enhancement (e.g. adjustment of brightness and contrast, region of interest ROI and others) can be retrieved. The remote controlled manipulator enables the use of the flat panel detector system in almost every position. Being part of the system of the remote controlled manipulator, the XplusSecurity 4336 image enhancement system uses the power supply of the carrier vehicle.

Even under most difficult conditions, the operator is able to position easily and fast the flat panel detector system. The X-ray image data is quickly transmitted to the control panel. Thus, highly precise image data of the object is available. The remote controlled manipulator,
e.g. tEODor, can use further tools directly on site without approaching the object once again.

The whole system including accessories is located in a transport case, the standard Pelicase, and thus well secured for transport. The battery pack with the chargers is incorporated in the case lid in that way that the batteries can simply be recharged at any time. The whole system is quickly and easily stowed in the backpack and well prepared for the next mission where the system can be operated directly from the backpack.

Highest resolution
with up to 65.000 greyscales and a contrast behaviour which emphasises the advantages of a flat panel detector system compared to conventional scanning and paper based X-ray image systems. Even finest structures and smallest wires can be made visible thanks to automated image enhancement functions of
the software.

XplusSecurity. The intuitive image enhancement software XplusSecurity automatically controls the
image display. The operator can change between automatic and manual image enhancement.

The XplusSecurity^CR35-SEC system is integrated in a robust transport
case. This transport case is specially designed for shelf fitting in vehicles with minimum storage volume. The CR storage phosphor plates are transported to the object in a thin bag and will then be exposed with the existing X-ray tube (pulsed or continuous X-ray beam). Thanks to the mobile power supply the system can be operated location independent over several hours. Findings and objects of up to 70 cm x 86 cm max. can be checked in only one working step. The single CR storage plate is 35 cm x 43 cm big, less than 1 mm thick and can be placed behind each finding / object. Different sizes of storage plates are available.

Example: 5 cm x 8 cm, 10 cm x 24 cm, 18 cm x 24 cm, 24 cm x 30 cm; other sizes on request.

CR storage phosphor plates are used instead of X-ray films.
The XplusCR35 SEC transmits the scanned image data as digital image format to a notebook/PC. Objects of up to 70 cm x 86 cm max. can be displayed with a remarkable perceptibility of details. The CR35 SEC storage plate scanner scans objects with an accuracy of up to 70μm/pixel which enables the display of even finest structures or wires of less than 0.1 mm with up to 65.000 greyscales. The XplusCR35 SEC system is mainly used to locate IEDs / EODs or findings. The optimum display of image data is a great help wherever quick decisions are needed to prevent danger.

TPX plates / Polaroid plates are no longer produced!

The transport case is designed to save as much space as possible, the whole system can be integrated in nearly any shelf system, consuming only little storage space. All pieces are fitted into the compact housing. The integrated heavy duty drawer safely carries the storage plate system during the mission. .

The whole system is ready for operation right from the housing and can either be operated with the battery pack or with the vehicle’s voltage. The notebook is safely stored in the system. Making the system ready is easy and only takes a few moments.

The transport case is specially designed for the vehicle construction. The trolley can easily
be attached to the bottom of the housing. If required, the lashing lugs for air freight can be
integrated.

The XplusSecurity software
is specially developed to meet the requirements of operators. The intuitive handling – reduced to only a few steps – leads to a quick view of the displayed X-ray images. Highest image perceptibility is possible within a scanning time of less than 50 s per plate. The storage plates are deleted directly after scanning and prepared for the next mission.
